Thunderbird is a mail, RSS and newsgroup software that can replace Outlook. It proposes a lot of features like an intelligent account setup, an address book, spell checking, a powerful search, message archiving, tab environment, attachment reminder, and more.
Thunderbird is based on the same technologies than Firefox and can also be themed and extended with add-ons. On the Add-ons page you can find more than 500 extensions and more than 50 themes. The Lightning add-on is recommended to add a calendar to Thunderbird.
If you want to switch to Thunderbird it can import your mail, address book and settings from many mail client including Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora.
