The Mozilla Firefox 3.6 release starts a new Firefox family based on the Gecko 1.9.2 rendering engine. This new version is faster, especially the JavaScript engine, and consumes less memory than previous versions of Firefox.

This new release also introduce Personas (skins for the toolbar), a more secure plugin system that notifies the user when add-ons plugins are out-of-date. If you are using older versions of Firefox, don't worry most of add-ons work with Firefox 3.6.
